Adriana Chechik: games and live streaming
Her account of starting Twitch and building a gaming community.
Starting with a game
In her 2023 interview, Chechik recalled playing Call of Duty at home during the pandemic. She wanted another way to connect with her audience and started a Twitch account. The games became a setting for interaction and a regular part of her public work.
Games and broadcast time
Chechik named Elden Ring, other FromSoftware games and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor among her preferred games to stream. She said building the channel required regular broadcasts and a substantial time commitment. She also described playing games offline as something she enjoyed away from work.
Help from the community
She credited fans who acted as Discord administrators and moderators with helping her navigate that platform. She described asking community members for feedback when she encountered problems. Her account of streaming includes the people who assisted with the spaces around the broadcasts.
